The thyroid is a small, butterfly structured gland at the base of the neck. This gland has an enormous impact on health because every aspect of metabolism is being controlled by thyroid hormone. Over activity of thyroid can be caused by grave's disease, Plummer's disease, and thyroiditis.
Treatment for Hyperthyroidism will rely upon the cause or symptoms you're experiencing, so your medical consultant will determine treatment options based on the cause.
